Lord Chancellor backs Mediation before any court action

On BBC Radio 4's Law in Action this week the new Lord Chancellor David Lidington has confirmed that all forms of alterative dispute resolution aka mediation will form part of his push for reforms to the English legal system.

I can't say I agree with much else of the current government's reforms for the criminal law system but at least in terms of the his views of the civil system he's acknowledged that part of the drain on the courts is unnecessary and can be alleviated and better served by directing parties to mediation before they go to court or even issue proceedings.

And as if you needed to be told when you find yourself in need of mediation with any kind of dispute, commercial dispute, family dispute, neighbour problems Northwest Mediation is ready to help you give us a call on 07931318347 or via email at ed.johnson@northwestmediation.co.uk
