In a throw back to the Christmas day ceasefire of the trenches of word war one of 1914 two warring tribes of Sikir in Enga province of Papua New Guinea have met for mediation talks on Christmas day.

The meeting was organised by Acting Provincial Police Commander Epenese Nili to try to stop the battles between tribes which have been ongoing since 2014. Previously Nili has used social media to disprove that victims of "black magic" have been murdered so is not afraid of using any and all techniques to bring peace to the good people of PNG.

The mediation led to a ceasefire which will be in place until round two of the mediation in mid-February.

If you're having problems with your neighbours, in a family dispute, have an inheritance problem, a contractual or commercial dispute mediation can help resolve your issues without the expense stress and delay of the court process.
